The Underground/Alternative Press Archive
Music has been at the heart of youth culture since the 1950s. When a new wave of alternative press started to flourish in the sixties, it was only natural that music would be included along with sex, drugs and politics. Seminal publications like International Times and Oz gave way to the later seventies incarnation of small city-based mags. Throughout the two decades, music has been reported with the alternative viewpoint of those papers. |
