Despite Rockmine being a commercial archive, it was also my collection. Yes, there are more than 10,000 music papers and magazines but it also consisted of everything I'd picked up since the seventies as a collector, fan and professional working in and around rock music. For longer than I care to consider, Rockmine was my life. Hell, my friends didn't even call me by my name, they called me Rockmine!

Back in the 1990s, a Scottish local authority had plans to turn Rockmine into a visitor centre and worldwide resource. Thankfully, that never went ahead but if it had, the Rock Mall would be the same as a museum or gallery shop. Only this time, you get to take part of the archive home! Have fun shopping.
