The Grapes was the hang-out for The Beatles and the many other bands who played The Cavern (which didn't sell alcohol) - and a safe refuge from the teenage fans too young to enter.

After being fired by Brian Epstein, Pete Best came here to drown his sorrows with Neil Aspinall.
